Meet Your Artist!

My name is Deborah and I am the Owner and Artist at Symmetry Permanent Cosmetics. Being in the beauty industry for over 20 years, I started my passion as a young girl, spending a lot of my childhood in a salon with my mom, who was also a cosmetologist. I grew up in Mount Olive and have been fortunate to be a part of this wonderful community, building a career for 19 years at a local salon, Lighten Up Salon and Spa, as well as raise my family here.

I built many wonderful relationships and was able to become established for the long term. I always strived to educate myself in all areas of this industry. Getting older and more confident in my abilities, I saw a real need for permanent cosmetics. Clients had always asked “who and where”. I felt it was time to take my education to a whole new level and be that person to turn to, becoming a licensed artist with the American Academy of Micropigmentation. April 2018 is when Symmetry Permanent Cosmetics became a reality. All the mentoring, guidance, and education I gained from the salon and its management, combined with the necessary training for Micropigmentation, enhanced my skillset and ability to be a successful artist, mastering color theory, pigment formulas and symmetry for optimal results. After spending a few years juggling both careers, I left the salon in 2021 to dedicate myself full time to my clients at Symmetry. I pride myself in the level of care and patience I give to each and every one of you… that is what you deserve. Together, we work on getting you to have amazing results with a full understanding of the commitment now and going forward needed for you to have the best experience possible.

MY RELATIONSHIP WITH DR. MERCADO

Soon after opening in 2018 at the current location, I saw that my clients had a desire for a trusted, safe and reliable doctor for their primary aesthetics. It wasn’t long after meeting Dr. Mercado and Lisa his Assistant, I instantly felt this was the relationship we needed. We started Bubbles and Botox in February of 2019, and from there the rest is history. Now catering to over 200 cosmetic clients, Dr. Mercado has since added a long list of services for your needs. In April 2021, we expanded our space creating The Aesthetic Lounge. Lisa, Dr. Mercado and I have become your expert team and agree the best success comes with a conservative approach.

I have had several services at Symmetry. Every single service has had wonderful results, lasts, and is so therapeutic when I'm having it done - and, even more importantly, AFTER it's done. The latest was Hydrofacial. and before that, Misty Brow. Microblading before that. This is all over a course of 4 years so I'm not going every month. Deborah is fantastic! She explains everything even though I trust her implicitly. Deborah is very conscientious in regard to all things sanitary, making sure anything she does isn't 'crazy horrible overboard' especially for an older woman as I have seen on some women. AND, she makes every appointment, a relaxing 'experience'. Deborah is passionate about her work. I see that and will always ask her first for anything I think I might want to do.
